Tuition & Financial Aid: University of Florida

The University of Florida College of Medicine offers a variety of tuition and financial aid options for students. Tuition at the college is based on a per credit hour rate, with in-state students paying $225 per credit hour and out-of-state students paying $719 per credit hour. The college also offers several scholarships, both merit and need based, to help students cover tuition costs. Merit scholarships include the Albert J. and Elizabeth H. Kirwan Scholarship, which is awarded to outstanding first-year medical students, and the Jane M. Harrell Scholarship, which is awarded to incoming medical students who are members of underrepresented groups in medicine. Need-based aid is available through the College’s Need Based Aid Program (NBAP) as well as federal student loans and other loan programs. The NBAP provides grants to medical students based on their financial need, allowing them to cover up to 50% of their tuition costs for each academic year that they are enrolled at the College of Medicine. Additionally, UF offers a variety of payment plans for those who may need assistance paying for their education over an extended period of time.
