Attractions in Utah
The only notable city in Utah is Salt Lake City. For this, nature is the real attraction. Nowhere else in the world will visitors find such a great rocky landscape as here. Even the rock formations of Arizona cannot keep up.
Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park
On the border with Nevada are these sandstone giants, which are up to 300 meters high. Hikes on your own are possible. Guided tours can also be booked. The rugged landscape has already inspired Hollywood and many films have been made here. Visiting this attraction is a must on a Utah round trip.
Historic Temple Square
Historic Temple Square is one of the most popular tourist attractions. The site is 14 hectares and includes museums, gardens and historic buildings. The tour of this site is free.
Antelope Island State Park
Antelope Island State Park is located in the northwest of Salt Lake City. This park is particularly suitable for bison and antelope watching. The 11,300 hectares offer plenty of opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, boating and horse riding.
Cave Fort
This fort dates from 1867 and was built as a haven for travelers and offers today’s visitors a little glimpse into the past. This pioneer fortress stands between Beaver and Fillmore and is also built of volcanic stone. The travelers found shelter from rain in twelve rooms and could take a break from the long journey.
Frontier Homestead State Park
In the 1850s, missionaries were deployed to the iron ore mines. The buildings still give an impression of the life of that time.
The Narrows
The Zion Narrows is a narrow canyon in the Zion National Park. The rock faces rise over 300 meters. In millions of years, these rocky outcrops were created by the Virgin River. When the water level is low, visitors can wade through the river on foot.
Place Heritage State Park
Here the Wild West comes to life again. Before the pioneers came, native tribes lived here. This park was founded in 1998 to provide information about the early history of the state and its indigenous people. In the Heritage Village you can visit huts, farms, barns, chapels, upholstery and barns. A small train runs through the area and the “little guests” can look forward to pony rides. For the physical well-being is also taken care of. The park is open for company celebrations, family celebrations, weddings, children’s parties and other events. You should not miss the visit.
