Overview
The following items can be brought into Namibia duty-free: 400 cigarettes and 50 cigars and 250 g of tobacco (persons aged 18 and over); 2 liters of wine and 1 liter of spirits (over 18s); 50 ml perfume and 250 ml eau de toilette; Gifts valued up to N$1,250 (but not televisions). A suit and tie or suit is appropriate for business visits. Appointments should be arranged in advance. English is the language most commonly spoken in business circles. The best times for business visits are February to May and September to November.

GSM 900 / 1800 900, 3G (2100) and 4G (LTE and 1800 Mhz). Main network operators are Telecom Namibia and MTC. With the exception of rural areas, the mobile network covers almost the entire country. International roaming contracts exist. Nevertheless, it may be worth purchasing a Namibian prepaid SIM card. Mobile phones can be rented.

Internet providers include Telecom Namibia and MTC. There are Internet cafes in all larger towns and in tourist areas. Telecom Namibia WiFi hotspots are located in Hosea Kutako International Airport and in some nature parks.

The postal service is excellent. Mail to Europe takes 4-7 days to arrive.
