The following items can be brought into Mozambique duty-free: 200 cigarettes or 250g of tobacco; 0.75 l spirits; Perfume for personal use (opened). Valuable electronic devices must be declared.

Prohibited Exports
Weapons, drugs, diamonds and antique cash coins. A permit is required for the export of some protected animal and plant species, while the export of other protected species is completely prohibited.

In the hot season, safari suits or light tropical suits are worn for business meetings, otherwise jackets or summer suits or dresses are appropriate. There are hardly any interpreting and translation services in Maputo. January is the main holiday season in Mozambique, business travel is best avoided during this period.
